An innovative and unique way of introducing health and
fitness, the Perth Integrated Health Clinic (PIHC) leads the
way once again with the creation of a Cycling Course with a
difference.
Cycling is now regarded as the new millennium sport, just as
golf was in the previous. The uptake by many in the
corporate and executive sector has been encouraging.
Until now, most people who indulged in cycling do so without
any proper clinical advice, proper cycling skills,
supervision or guided motivation. PIHC Cycling Course aims
to achieve the following:
Aims
 |
Create a cycling group
that focuses not only on development of fitness and
body toning but also on coordination, balance, core
strengthening and equilibrium; |
 |
Create a group that
has proper clinical guidance using cycling as a
medium of sport and incorporating workshops on
nutrition, feet care, neuro-muscular care and
performance enhancement related
specifically to cycling; |
 |
Under the guidance of
accredited cyclist coaches with years of fitness and
wellness management experience; |
 |
Train and develop
group support and processes with the support of PIHC
practitioners. |
Criteria
 |
Any individual
irregardless of fitness levels who wish to achieve
some or more of the above aims over
a period of time; |
 |
Be clinically cleared
for this sport as determined by the PIHC screening
program; |
 |
Those with and without
bicycles or appropriate equipment. Those who wish to
purchase any bicycle equipment can do so through our
corporate discount with Bike Force South Perth or
Myaree, George’s Bike Shop Applecross or Balcatta,
Attadale Cycles, BB Cycles Osborne Park, Cyclemania,
or
Cycle Centre East Perth; |
 |
Open also to non
patients of PIHC who wish to experience more about
health, fitness and wellness; |
 |
Be at least 18 years
of age.
